Retro Saturday

Saturday Nights @ 7:30 PM EST

Series Overview

The Retro Saturday series takes us back to the golden era of stock car racing. This series delivers exciting door-to-door competition every Saturday night. Step back in time and experience the golden era of NASCAR! We use the same rules package that NASCAR ran in the 80s and 90s, enhanced with modern improvements like wave arounds and the lucky dog rule. Come join us as we race iconic cars from days past. Drive like the legends: Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt, Rusty Wallace, and many more. Watch these classic machines thunder around the track and experience the thrill of racing them yourself! The server is up anytime you want to practice before race day. Hope to see you there!

Physics

Custom designed and programmed by the developers at SCSR, this mod has realistic physics built from the ground up to simulate the feel of 1990's Gen 3 CUP cars. With less downforce than NextGen CUP and more low-end torque, these cars require finesse on the throttle and steady steering control. All paint schemes are identical to real life cars of that era, right down to the contingency decals.

Series Rules

  • No racing on the apron.
  • No changing lanes before the start-finish line on starts and restarts.
  • No blocking or dive-bombing.
  • Announce you're pitting on the back stretch (unless it's a short track, then on the front stretch).
  • When leaving the pits after a green flag pitstop stay on the apron until the exit of turn 2 & stay low until you're clear before moving up to the racing line.
  • If you are the cause of a caution, you must do a drive-through on the 2 to go lap.
  • Lap down cars do a drive through on the 2 to go lap if there's a re-start with 10 or less laps to go.
  • No flaming or cursing anyone during the race. Save that for after you've checked the replay.
  • No speeding down pit road to lead a lap, no passing the pace car near the start/finish line to lead a lap when the leader is on pit road, and finally, you can't pass the leader under yellow at the start/finish line to lead a lap. The penalty is a 1 lap deduction after the race.
  • MANDATORY: All drivers must be present in TeamSpeak prior to the start of Qualifying to be eligible to race.
